W208 Cruise Issue

My cruise control works great...if I set it 47 MPH or under...anything over that it will try and set for a fraction of a second, then quickly disengage.

HELP

HELP
The cruise can be dictated by difference in the wheel diameter sizes front and back and at higher speeds may stop working. The diameter of the wheels changes if you have a worn set of tyres say on the back and new on the front as it confuses the wheel speed sensors.

Are you tyres worn?
Are they different sizes front and back? (Staggered)
