Replacing jack hole cover

I have a new cover and am painting it now... I can't see how to secure the plastic "tie" that loops through the hole in the back of the cover to the car. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Is this what your talking about? Do you have the proper plastic tie? The ties threw me off when I went to replace one of thes covers. The tie goes into your side skirt as well. The hole it goes into is in the pictures.

Recommend you purchase spare clips if you haven't taken the skirt off, I broke a couple and you will need them. Since that issue I only use hydraulic jacks and avoid using the covers.

Yeah you have to take the skirt off, which is very easy. Just take your time. The photo was of an extra set of skirts I got from a member from here afew years back. Easy to take when there in the garage.

Thanks again. I did manage to damage the black trim piece a bit, of course. It was stuck to the skirt and when I pulled it started to tear a bit.

Would you recommend using a clear silicone to seal it on there if you didn't wanna take off the side skirts?

I don't think I would - I like how the black trim breaks up the silver.
