Soft top won't close.

2003 240CLK convertable. I cannot close the roof although the pump does run for a few seconds, but cuts out. I have tried both switches on top of the screen, but this makes no difference. Any ideas please?

A 2003 CLK cabrio (e.g. A208 chassis) only has 1 switch to operate the power roof, which is located on the center console.

Additionally, it's integrated lamp provides some basic diagnostic information, as described in the below document.

Seems to have solved itself.

Many thanks for your help Serndipity. The problem seems to have solved itself as I can now close the roof, which is a bit worrying to say the least.
