1999 CLK320 Starting Problem

Has anyone ever heard of the Brake Wear Sensor or an ABS Sensor preventing the car from turning over? Ignition just clicks. Last Warning Light was Break Wear Sensor.

Thanks.

ABS or Brake Wear trouble codes would not prevent the engine from turning over.

In regard to the clicks......sounds like the Engine Control Module is activating the starting motor relay, but the relay contacts are either worn out or the fuse is blown or has contact corrosion and power is not reaching the starting motor, or the motor's solenoid is activating but the motor's brushes are worn out.
