I'm new to this

I recently purchased an 02' CLK 320. I'm really happy with it but it needs a few repairs due to a lack of interest from the last owner. My passenger seat "forward and backward motor" is hung up and my sun roof is stuck closed(I checked the switch and circuit and thats fine so it must be a mechanical issue). So hopefully I can pick a few brains here to fix it all.
I very happy with fuel economy getting about 31-34mpg. I flushed the v6 and using amsoil 5-30w full synthetic and noticed a huge difference right away. I'll post pics of the CLK soon. Its not perfect but makes a great daily driver.
I'm from Denver,CO

I should have said I was checking in as a new member with an old car...is this forum for new cars or old cars or used cars? I have an sl500 I purchased new ,it now has16k miles on if it helps and I just traded in for a new c-300 4-matic. Any ways I'm checking in.

My last show car I pulled out of a pole barn in Ft Morgan,CO. It has a 290 w/3 on the tree and won every show I entered for 5 years.(67 Rebel 550)
My next project is the CLK320 and will get a 3 stage paint job, interior and new suspension...its gonna be a challenge. But I look forward to the challenge and hope to make a nice MB example.

BenzBopper.......you're currently reading the right sub forum, where you'll find a treasure chest of information regarding the maintenance and repair of your newly acquired MY 2002 CLK 320.

Additionally, you'll find additional sub-forums, for the other MB models you own, at https://mbworld.org/forums/ .

The seat motor issue has been discussed many times on this forum..do a search...usually a blown trunk fuse...but that's an indication that the motor is going...replace it asap..it's apia if fails forward or back...can't get to seat bolts if fails in that position.

the sunroof many times is a "limit " issue...try to open it by hitting switch a few short times to see if that moves at all

Thanks for the info on the fuse and sunroof. I need to find an repair manual. I also need to buy a pair of new headlamp assemblies( I just can't adjust them properly). I realize they are a little spendy but putting a price on safety equipment is not safe.
