Number Five because the size of the star seems well proportioned compared to the size of the overall grill and the size of the headlamps & city lights.

none of them...either black out the original grille or leave it. Those star grilles are terrible looking on the W208. The proportions of the W208 grille were never meant to have a star in the middle. just my .02 cents

I have seen grille 3 talked up for quite some time on these boards, but i just dont like it that much... are people just not noticing that it has an overbite on the bottom because its a curved grille in a flat housing? The lowest bar #3 sticks out beyond where it should sit flush against the low part of the grille housing, it looks ugly IMO. For those of you who like it are you hoping that they'll revise it or do you think it looks good that way?

1 and 4 look a lot alike. I would have say it's a tie between those two and 5.

5 is what I have. You just have to use black out tape on the verticle bars.

I don't like the 7" full size star. It does not look proportional to the rest of the front end of the CLK.

Grill 6

Star grills don't belong on the W208, it wont look right and doesnt fit the lines of the front of the CLK... leave it stock or paint it black, granted your car is black.

You --> <-- CL-Type Grilles.

I prefer the stock grill as well and I don't like the flat hood emblem/badge much either. I like my star.

N. 2 e n. 4 are the same grill! it costs about $500 plus shipping and painting
N. 1 is similar and costs $ 250
The other one is completely not proportional!
I think n. 2 and 4 are better, but I don't know if it worth the price

If i was going to go with a star grille i think i would actually go with the small star + blackout tape on the veritcal bars. I was looking forward to the #3 grille release, but i'm extremely disappointed with the results.

You must order it in Austria from the producer. They don't sell it by internet. Look in the forum the thread I made about grills.It's easy because there are a loot of replys and sight. There you can find the link and telephone and fax numeber. I think I will buy grill n. 2 and I would like to plaster the it with the hood to eliminate the fissure and after repaint the hood. What do yuo think about my idea?
