Potentials issues w/ my New CLK

Just got an 06 CLK350. Curious if there is something wrong with my car. Here is the potential issue I have realized:

At night, all my controls/ buttons inside the car are illuminated with the exception of the headlight control. The little signs (off, auto, parking lights, big lights, etc) above the turnknob are not illuminated so it's kind of stupid because you don't really see what you are selecting (I understand that one will get used to it soon but nonetheless it seems weird that these signs and the control are the only ones not illuminated). Also the headbreak is not illuminated as well.

Please tell me if this is normal.

Thanks

yes it is normal for the little signs for the lights to not be illuminated.

I do not know what you mean by headbreak however.

If you mean the controls for the seat, then yes, it is normal for those to not be illuminated also.

What he said. Also, the parking brake(?) is not illuminated either.
