CLK 320
19 Inch Wheels
First time posting so I appreciate the help with this. Just bought a CLK 320 looking to put 19 inch wheels on it...place down the street will do it for $1600 with new wheels and tires installed. Is this a good deal? I am also afraid that it will rub. Will this happen? I have attached a link below for the wheels that would go on there, except the ones in the picture are 18 inch and I would be getting 19 inch. Whatever feedback you guys could give would be awesome and thanks again for the help!!

You just need to make sure that they're sized right and at the right offset and you should be ok. I have 19x8.5 with 235/35 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear with 265/30 in the rear, and I don't have any major issues although I can't recall the offset. My car is lowered and it does rub the plastic fender liner slightly when I have the wheel almost all the way turned, but it's not really an issue because it only happens when I am making a 3 point turn.

I have the same wheel setup as Frisco but I'm not lowered. No issues at all, except like Frisco said, the front wheels will hit the plastic if you cut the wheel all the way. Go for it!

2004 Silver CLK500
Though Mercedes does not recommend 19 in wheels on W209, several members have been using it successfully. I'd say please keep the following in mind before you go out and buy 19":
1) Larger wheels usually mean more weight. Infact some wheels can weigh in excess of 30 lbs. You'll find the car much heavier to drive with these massive wheels. Kleemann TS-6s are very light weight, but therefore cost a lot more too.
2) Make sure the offset is correct on the wheels. Even with correct offset, lower quality wheels come with bad spacer arrangements, which cause vibrations and pretty bad ride quality
3) I am riding on 18" Carlssons on my CLK500, and they are pretty heavy. I feel the difference as soon as I put on OEM wheels for winter use. Feels like car is almost unchained. I'll probably sell my Carlssons and buy AMG 18" next summer.
Cheers,
Zee
