Will folding hardtop ever be available on MB 4 seater?
I thought for sure that once BMW came out with a 4 seat convertible with folding hardtop that Mercedes would at last announce one of their own. Nothing heard though here in the U.S. Those of you who have access to the European press have you heard any encouraging rumors/news? I really can't believe Mercedes is ready to abandon the growing market for 4 seat folding hardtop convertibles - especially to arch rival BMW!

Mercedes Built Several Folding Hardtop 215s (CL) for a Saudi Prince
They were featured in the Mercedes Mag a few years ago....
Just like the R230 (SL) folding hardtop..But in a Larger scale
it looked VERY Nice!.......

2008 new body
Reportedly the 2008 CLK will offer a completely new body. This would be the perfect time to add the folding hardtop option. Daimler Chrysler offers its Sebring with both soft and folding hardtop versions so why not the CLK? Come on Mercedes - surprise us before we all move over to BMW to purchase their excellent folding hardtop 4-seat convertible.
