Exclamation INFO: Transmission valve replacement

I've got 17,xxx miles on the car so far, and during the last 2,xxx I've been noticing that when transmission shifts into third and fourth, it hesitates. It feels like a slight jerk, as if the breaks are being applied. Plus, sometimes when I came to a stop, it felt like the breaks were catching too hard...

After a while I got tired of it and called the dealer. Come to find out, the recent production CLKs have this problem with some valve in the transmission. I was told that it happens sooner or later (depending on your driving style... or how often you use the manual mode ). I guess mine was "sooner".

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know about this phenomenon. If you feel it happening, take it in for a replacement of the valve with an updated one.

Regards,
Filip
