I drive the racism out of BadDebt. ;)
If you're looking for the "best" springs...they would be OEM.
If you're looking for a sport/comfort sport springs then you would look;
Brabus
Lorinser
H&R
Eibach
pick your choice, people here tend to gravitate more to the H&R sport springs.

Eibach's also tend to leave the car looking slightly lower at the rear.
What I did with my old CLK (208) was swap the front spring pads for smaller ones.
The spring pads that were on the front to start with were #5 pads.
I changed them for #2 pads which gave me an even drop.
The original rear spring pads were #4's. I left them alone as the ride height at the rear was fine.

Eibach's give a 30-35mm drop.

You may well be right.
And the AMG's may well even differ from the regular 209's.
I've only had the car alittle while and am still learning its anatomy.
No doubt, I will come across this headache again when I lower/ stiffen my suspension later down the line.

I'm looking at Eibach right now as I hear that while its not lowering as much as the H&R, the ride is softer. Also the 19" wheels/tires combo I got used were on a W209 with Eibach and no rubbing issues so I don't want to take a chance with lowering more then the other car.
I'm also interested in the 'issues' when changing the springs but nothing else. I only drive ~8 miles a day so hopefully will not see many issues. Was it only the wear on the tires increased or are there other issues to consider?
