i just got the clk350 coupe 06 and open the wood grain draw ashtry and cig. combo...but no outlet...just plastic over it where it should be... and no aux plug??? i checked everywhere

can any one help..

i dont know about the cigarette lighter, as far as i know...that should be standard, at least in the US. and the aux plug is an option, if you have it...it would be in your glove box on the right hand side.

On my 2006 there is also a cigarette lighter-style power socket on the back of the center console, facing the rear seats.
I was told by the dealer to use that outlet to charge the phone and not the cigarette lighter after I blew a fuse on the cigarette lighter.

you blew a fuse on the cig lighter in the dash? HOW, my dash cig lighter doesn't work but the one by the rear seats works. I think my fuse blew as well.

Sure man. Goto BestBuy and get an OEM MB Walkman cable. This just isn't a double ended 3.5 mm audiojack. I don't need to sell anything, what's even funnier is that was super old. $5 on eBay? Possibly, but I doubt it. I wouldn't even go through the trouble. Anyway, you can probably buy the cable brand new for $25 plus shipping.

dude all i said was you can get an AUX cable from BB for $14 which i did and it works to perfection. and yes you can get it on ebay for $5. I just thought $25 plus shipping is way to high, but hey more power to you if you can sell it for that price.

The AUX inlet should be in the glove box on the right side. just take one end of the aux cable, plug it into the aux input in the glove box and the other end into your ipod (or whatever device you are attempting to hook up) and you should be good to go.

I have to go check if i have the aux input. I'm not sure if that's standard on the clk500.

I think the AUX input in the glovebox was introduced 'during' 2005 - not sure exactly when. It's not there on my 2004 CLK.
