Hey guys,

My shop told me that it will cost me $1,200 to replace my right bent strut (replacing the left one as well to balance it out) and to put on a new right steering knuckle.

Does the quote sound about right? I jut want to know whether they are ripping me off or now. All the part are ordered brand new

I paid $600 to install new shocks, struts, springs, rear and front sway bars, rotors, brake pads, and brake lines

Is $1200 parts and labor? Whichever the case... Like Wes mentioned, you can probably upgrade for less.

Just labor. How much does the shop charge an hour? Are the parts OEM and directly from the dealer? It shouldn't take them more than a couple hours to do the work. The knuckle should be a couple hundred and the struts you could go with bilstein or kyb for like $300- $550.

No idea about the rate, i saw it but cannot recall the number. They said roughly $300 for labor basically. They usually charge me $95 for an oil change with new filters and mobil 1 oil.

As far as the struts go, do you think its a good idea to go with aftermarket?? They told the oem ones are roughly $300-$320 so two struts is say $600 and they then said $300 for the steering knuckle and another $300 for labor so $1,200.

I have a question, would i be able to first get the front struts as coil overs and then upgrade the rears later?? Would be the best idea for me, im the average driver who eventually likes to push the car however never on the track. This has also been my dilemma, any advice?

You can Bilstein coilovers for $1200 and get them installed for $300. Coilovers will come with the struts, shocks and springs... and adjustable collars for your ride height.

I guess it depends on your preference. Want to keep it stock or not.
