I have a 2005 Mercedes CLK320, and she needs a new cabin air filter, anyone know where it is? a picture would be great.
And any good places to buy a new one?

there is a filter under the passenger side which is what Wes put up. and there is another one that you replaced above the battery.

The cabin air filter is housed inside the battery cover on the passenger side, under the hood. 3 latches hold it on. Easy to take off. There's a large, rectangular, pleated paper filter there. Just pull it out and replace with a new one. Very easy.
The filter under the dash is the active charcoal filter. I don't think this needs to be changed.

I don't think there's any problem if you do remove the charcoal filter unit but I'm not sure that it's designed to be "servicable". I doubt there's anything you can actually replace from inside it. The active charcoal captures odors and any noxious gasses before they can enter the cabin (especially if you're in a smog ridden city). It never sees any dust or dirt. If for some reason it needs attention I think you'll be faced with having to buy the entire charcoal filter assembly. I'm sure it's not cheap like the paper cabin filter. I won't go through the hassle of taking it out unless you're sure there's something wrong with it.

2005 CLK320 Inside Cabin Charcoal Air filter
I took down the under dash panel trying to change the charcoal filter but much to my surprise all that is the next to the blower motor is a huge block of styrofoam. I took down the driver's side to check there but nothing.
the duct comes out of the blower motor but there doesn't seem to be a filter in line, is that possible? Where else can it be located?
