So I sold/bought some stuff over the weekend, one of which was this little trailer for the jeep for $200. Naturally I couldn't leave it alone:

Couple updates
Fenders gone and stripped some paint and made the triangle for the front cargo area

Flipped over

Spider-trailer? Don't mind if I do

I'm thinking about putting little versions of the jeep wheel/tire combo on it haha.
Then metal floor/sides-then a little tiny swing out tire carrier spare tailgate lol. Then a lid the same color as the jeep top.
The things that keep me busy haha

Not car related but oh well, today I made a coolant overflow reservoir out of an old hand soap dispenser that didn't work anymore:
Polished it up and plugged the bottom hole
![](http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr31/Jamesbbh/IMG_0439.jpg)
Added some fittings to the side and clear coated it
![](http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr31/Jamesbbh/IMG_0440.jpg)
Made a little bracket and enlarged one of the pre-existing holes in the radiator mount and boom

Haha Thanks guys. Wes I actually work 50 hours a week aaaaand bang as many chicks as possible..........so I just don't sleep much. This thing was very simple for how cool looking it came out.
A- polish aluminum for 20 min with wire wheel
B- unscrew pump-plug hole with air fitting
C- Drill/tap for inlet/outlet, use red RTV sealant just so no leaks
D- Mock up/make extra bracket/clear coat
E- fasten all with stainless hardware
I think it was about 2 1/2 hrs just taking my time/drinking beers.
Doing stuff like this is a stress reliever for me somehow.

A little progress on the trailer, the front cargo area (minus sheet metal for the floor) is done!
Also I just taught myself how to weld a couple months ago so the welds are terrible and need grinding but whateva

I think I might polish up the spider after the welds are all ground down then clear coat it. The rest of the trailer I'm thinking roll-on bed liner.

Took some DOM tube I had laying around and made a bracket to hold the CO2/argon tank for the welder whenever I refill it.

I've had a couple people message me asking what they needed to get to paint their wheels and what I used so I decided to put together a little list. The step you take and how much actual prep and sanding work you decide to do decide the outcome of your job.
![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Each number next to it is how many packages of each item.
Sandpaper:
Med and fine sanding sponges-3 ea.
80 grit-1
100-1
200-1
300-1
600-1
900 grit-1
Cleaners:
Blue 2" Masking tape-1
acetone-1
grease wax/tar remover-1
Shop towels/microfiber towels-1 ea
Paint:
Automotive filling primer-2
Rustoleum satin black paint-3
Misc:
Bondo body filler- tiny bit to fix road rash on each lip
popsicle sticks- spreader for bondo

Man, I don't miss much about living in North America but when I see threads like this I REALLY miss having my garage/shop... Looking forward to seeing that baby roller when it's all done.

If the metal comes in today I'm going to start on some baby tube fenders for the trailer this weekend haha. I still need to pick up a drill press off of C/L and some decent hole saws to start notching stuff correctly instead of only being able to do angle joints w/ the chop saw/grinder. Kev you might know, what's the easiest way to get some tough paint off of a trailer like this? I really don't want to have to use a paint removal wheel for the whole thing.
