black series sway question

going to put BS sways on my 04 CLK500 soon, is there any additional parts I need besides the bars themselves and the rear bushings? (I think I remember seeing this in a thread I cant find lol)

Im looking for the same and also cant find an answer.
If someone did it please let us know because the price for BS rear sway bar much cheaper than for H&R

I also would like a bs sway...if you get a group buy I would be in ...also im on a '06 clk500 hopefully that will fit.

Bump, I would also need to know if it's just the sway bar I need or other parts. Also I would be interested in a group buy as well.

Does anyone know if bs sway bars would fit onto a 05 clk500. I been doing a lot of research and getting different answers about to end link size. I read one thread saying clk500 has 12mm end link, while another said it only comes with sports suspension. So, I'm kind of confused whether my car is 10mm or 12mm.

The bar fits with the proper bushings and end links. I'm not sure, but I believe the "sport" version uses 10mm end links.

2004+ CLK500 and CLK55 has the 12mm end links

wouldn't the HR sways do the same as the BS ones ?

bheng 05-19-2015 01:23 AM

If I recall, user dynomite05 installed BS sways on his 320. So you might be able to find that thread through searching for some possible answers

And BS sways are relatively cheaper than H&R last time I checked (though its been sometime)

hi, did anyone have any details on this? Is it a straight swap for the BS Sway bar (part 209 326 03 65) or does the installation require some kind of modification to the bar or end links?

dzmitry 10-02-2019 12:57 PM

Depends on you car, you might need different sway bar bushings (203-326-08-81).
The rest of the parts are the same (if we are talking only about rear sway bar).

I installed the Black Series rear sway bar a few months ago; the end links are the same if you have a V8 W209 (12mm) so all you will need is the rear sway bar itself and the matching Black Series bushings. The install is not exactly plug and play however; I noticed that the end links were not perpendicular to the car (it was skewed a few degrees), so I also installed some washers as spacers at the top and bottom of the end links and adjusted the alignment of the end link till it was perpendicular.

It's not that important, but I think you are confusing it with front sway bar end links, rears are the same for all w209 (203-320-07-89).

thank you. Appreciate you adding the part numbers too. I need this rear way bar as it has a second notch in it to allow for a quad pipe installation.

Do you still have the car? Curious what's the OD (thickness) of the 209 BS rear sway bar is ?
