Anyone Know the Settings to Open Convertible Top from Outside
Hi,
I've searched the archives and did not find my solution.
I used to be able to open/close the convertible top by aiming my smartkey at the door handle.
I was playing around with the Convenience and Vehicle settings on my car and for some reason I am no longer able to do this. I attempted to switch it back to what I thought was the previous settings, but there were other options I clicked as well. I've even checked the manual but to no avail.
This feature should be standard and seems like I'm in an endless loop.
Any cabriolet owners out there with advice?

There is no setting for this - it's likely that your IR sensor in the door handle has just failed. It's a very co0mmon problem. A guy over on the W203 Benzworld forum found a possible cause (bad solders) and solution. See here:

But I can suggest something better - get a SmartTop controller. It's about $300, a fairly easy DIY install and you get one-touch top open and close up to 25mph, and RF remote open and close without having to stand around and hold the button:
