Issue with settings not saved
I bought my 07 CLK550 6 months ago and found what I think at least should be a problem lol. Whenever I set something, fan speed, ESP off, map on, I turn off the car and restart it everything is back to a default. Is there any way to have it save things where I have left it before the vehicle is turned off? It's pretty annoying.

Hmm, I am fairly certain my HVAC setting stay as they were when I shut off the ignition. I know ESP Off has top be selected upon each start up, and I think that the COMAND unit always defaults to either the audio input last used, or, if you had the map on the screen, then it goes to the NAV menu.

Thanks... hmmm your fan stays? Mine does reset, I figured the ESP would. The Nav is pretty annoying though. I would really prefer it would come up on map. I should probably stop in the MB shop and find out if they can change a setting to make it no longer go to default.

I don't believe there are any settings they can change for this. As for the fan speed, it may not stay - like Yidney, I generally keep mine in AUTO mode, but even when not, I know it will keep things like "active charcoal filter mode" and the temperature settings.
