your post doesn't make it seem like you are talking about the original piece. I also didn't offer anything on it because i don't care for the carbon fiber personally, it is just for looks and you pay a premium when it has no advantage to making your car faster, no matter what people make themselves believe. the weight difference on a carbon fiber piece compared to a fiberglass or any other type of comparable material will not give you any noticeable results in regards to actually making your car lighter to the point where you can feel it.
and this is why i posted that comment, you're free to dip and do whatever cheapens your car as you like.
