Verdict on sway bar links and bushings install.

After living with a creak in cold weather for a couple years because I was too lazy to climb under the car in the cold, I finally replaced my rear sway bar ends links and bushings. Not only is the creak gone, but I was most surprised how much different the car felt. More stable and tighter. Really quite noticeable. My car has just under 60k miles, so for those of you with higher miles still running your original parts because they don't make noise, I highly recommend swapping them out anyway just for the better feel. If you can do it yourself it's only about a $90 investment for OEM parts. It's one of the easier DIY repairs you can do - on par with swapping brake pads on a couple wheels. Only tools needed are two sizes of female torx sockets, a 10mm socket and a 16mm wrench or socket. The hardest part for me was getting the last of four bushing bolts to line up correctly to start the threads. The old bushings felt like mush in my hand compared to the new ones. When I think that those parts account for only 6 rubber bushings out of a total of 24 on the rear suspension, it makes me want to replace them all just to see how much better it feels.

Ditto on the impact of bushings.

At about 82K miles I started getting stuff repaired. Sway bar bushings replaced, KMAC rear camber adjust bushings replaced OE, and tires. My "falling apart" sway bar bushings, on H&R sways and lowered was probably more noticeable than if the suspension was stock. The order of noticed improvement top to bottom;
- sway bar bushings
- KMAC bushings
- tires (4 - staggered)
Results in steering, handling, and suspension feel = accurate, taunt, flat, more immediate, hook up

Thanks for the reminder Yidney. Intent is to upgrade/replace suspension components front & rear over the winter break. Looking at Bilstein PSS9's with the K-MAC camber set.

Did mine yesterday. Haven't driven it yet. Old ones were pretty worn.

None for now
Just to confirm, if I order H&R sways, does it come with everything needed to fix the creaky noise as well?
