Is it possible to open the airbox on a clk 500 to access the center inside part? I took the two screws out but cant seem to get this thing open. Not referring to where the filters are housed... but the space between them. Thanks!!

It's a slide in mechanism. The bottom half slides out and then the top half should just clip out. IIRC that's how I did it a while back.
