If you are going to follow the extended change cycle according to the car's FSS, you should use a synthetic fleece filter (MBZ or Mann) and an oil that meets the MBZ spec 229.5:

If you want to follow a shorter change cycle (5K-7K miles), then you can use a 229.3 spec oil:

In the USA, Mobil 1 0w40 is readily available at most Walmart stores for about $26/5qt jug. Sometimes the auto parts stores will put it on sale for a competitive price.
