Grinding noise when revved high or car under load changing direction
a few days ago the red 'visit workshop' light came on my clk 200k convertible. since then the light has gone off but we now have a grinding noise when you rev the car to about 3,000 or turn corners. mechanic thought it may have been the alternator at first but after testing the voltage it is staying level at 13.8. red warning light has not been on since and the car is driving perfect apart from this worryign noise - any ideas?
