Comand 2.0 Navi Updates

I'm trying to locate navigation disk for the Comand 2.0 that is installed in my 2004 CLK320 and was wondering when was the last update made for this system? Also, is there a better place than eBay to find them?

Thanks so much,
Rick Gourley

Last update was 2015, and there will be no more. I usually buy them one year behind on e bay for about $70. I have 2014 now. A guy on here Eddie045 might be the name - Eddie something - was supplying pirated ones from somewhere. You might search for that deal.

Wait, you have a pre-facelift. Does that use one DVDs or multipe CDs?

It's the multi-cd version.

In the nearly 7 years I have been on here I do not recall anybody asking about updates for those. Nor do I know when they stopped making them. But since they stopped the DVDs 2 years ago already, I'm guessing it's been a while.

Just out of curiosity I looked on ebay. It looks there are about 6 discs, nobody sells a whole set, and everybody wants $30-$45 for each 2002 or so vintage disc. So maybe $250 to get a set of maps 15 years of of date. Who would ever buy those? You could fit an aftermarket name brand unit, or I think there are Chinese clones of what you have for pre-facelift. You's have to check that. Or just use your phone or a Garmin unit.

I had looked at eBay and thought the same thing. I will use my phone or maybe a Garmin for sure.

Thanks,
Rick

I use a tomtom satnav, when I require nav assistance. On their mid-higher end units, they provide free lifetime support, that's free lifetime maps, speed camera updates, all sorts of stuff which pays for the unit itself in a couple years, considering the cost of an single regional update otherwise is c. £50...
