CODES:2004,0015,0128
Advance pulled these codes from my CLK350.
P2004
P0015
P0128
Any electrical engineers out there want to chime in to isolate the repairs? I understand some of these fault codes are just "generic" and could mean any one of a lot of possible situations. (where's my Tylenol pills?) My masters degree is only in computer science - but if I had my druther's, I'd druther rip out all these computer ECU modules and sensors and that CHECK ENGINE idiot light - and replace with old time mechanical fuel injector and old time magnetic induction spark from an actual distributor and coil (not coils).
My SLK230 has over a dozen fault codes if anyone want to wander off forum topic:
P0170
P0304
P0302
P0300
P0500
P1747
AND - the red "SRS" (air bag) light is on...so I',m not sure if an airbag is going to explode in my face as I'm driving, or not.

Do yourself and your CLK a favor and spend a couple hundred $ on a code reader that will read the MB codes and also tell you what the codes mean. Generic code readers are close to useless on these cars.

A little late but just in case your checking:
My two cents would be:
Replace the cam shaft magnets for the P0015 (
). Clear the codes then see if both the P2004 and P0015 go away.
Replace the thermostat (about $125 for the Wahler version at your local parts store) for the P0128. Lots of videos on replacing this for your specific model. Consider replacing the fan belt while your in there as it has to be removed to get to the thermostat.

I would invest in this if I had 2 Mercs:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015DNAMT2...JGM13JR0&psc=1
It can read all DTC codes.
