CLK 270 CDI
Problem with alternator after reverse polarity.

Hello guys!

I am fixing a reverse polarity damages in a CLK 270 cdi. I have replaced rear and frontal SAM units and now all the electrical items are working properly. I also changed the alternator, with a rebuild one but is still not charging. żAny idea of where to continue? Thanks in advance!

Did you check all the fuses? Grounds?

Yes the fuse are OK, in the rear and front SAM, and in the F32 prefuse box. Where can I found the grounds?

I think he meant for you to check the ground points. There may be others to check since you replaced the SAM, but there are probably 2 points under the hood on either side of the car. One near the battery and another near the fuse box.

Another thing is that OBD port is not working since I have changed the two SAMs.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Check fuse 62 on the front SAM.
