Air con not working and I'm getting this code. Visually looking at the condenser it looks fine with no damage but the mechanic in the garage said that the condensers become porous with age and will need to be replaced. My car is 2005 with 69000 miles, could the problem be a temperature sensor or is the mechanic correct.

I would get a second opinion on this, they can, but it usually takes a lot longer than that.
