2005 CLK500 and the soft top won't close
Hi, I have 2005 CLK500 and the soft top won't close (no move at all). When I want to close the top, only the head rest got down. I check hydraulic fluid (Ok), I check relays (changed for new, nothing). I tried to open the top manually how it is supposed to do, and the hard top of the top cover want not to move out. I pulled very hard with the two handles string. It sound to be locked. What can I try? One thing I know the right bow cylinder leak and I need to replace but at the moment I can't get access at all because of the top is in the compartment. I need to get it out.Thank you for advices.

First of all, make sure you are using the proper procedures for the manual close:

On your MY2005 CLK, the hydraulic cylinders use to operate the soft top cover will be very hard to manually manipulate. You may need to disconnect them from the underside of the cover so you can open it.
My guess is that you have a limit switch problem. A proper diagnosis that scans codes from the Soft Top Controller can tell you which one it is. A generic OBDII scanner won;t do it - you need a tool that reads MBZ's proprietary systems.
Also, here is a "beta" of a diagnostic aid I worked on that might help:
