Suspension Advice

Going to change out my suspension on my 03 CLK55.
The cost of OEM Sachs vs Bilstein is nearly the same. I'm not going to be lowering the car so would probably go with the B6 Bilstein shocks. What's the general consensus between the two brands of strut/shocks regarding ride?
Here is Honolulu the roads are pretty crappy and I really don't want too stiff a ride.
Thanks!

You also used a B4 for struts up front and was wondering how B6's all around would be.
Also, I was wondering if going Sachs all around would be preferable?
I never drove a CLK55 with a good factory suspension and was wondering what that would feel like.
Thanks

I put on B4s at 70,000 miles and are OK ride seems a little softer than the OEMs
Price was very good to buy them - installation was somewhat costly at my favorite independent shop-
but-- I didnt want to fool with them and the spring compressors.

Ride is not harsh.

I did have one weeper that Mercedes wanted to replace on a "free" inspection-- but reading Bilstein guidance- that is normal.

The B4's are known to be a little softer than stock.
The B4's are supposed to be stock replacement though.
I'm more interested in sticking with either stock (Sachs) or trying the B6 yellow strut/shocks.
But appreciate the feedback.

I just installed Bilstein B8 W0133-1910455
rear shocks on my CLK550 yesterday. Ride seems smooth but I haven't put any real miles on it yet.

Bilsteins have always been too rough for me. YMMV.

I have only tried the B8s in bilsteins lineup, and I was very happy with them. That was also on eibach springs tho, and they matched each other well. That was in Chicago, where the roads can be pretty terrible. It wasnt the smoothest ride, but I thought it was overall pretty comfy.
