Anyone Parting Out an 03/04 CLK?

As the title states, I’m looking for a couple parts that should be found relatively simply, but none of my local salvage yards have a CLK on hand with the same A/C head unit.

I'm looking for:
- a Blower fan/regulator for a cabrio (not sure if this makes a difference, or if a fan/regulator from a later model would work)
- a multifunction switch/stalk
- a shifter bezel/black leather boot
- a spare steering wheel

I have more parts on my ‘wishlist’ but want to start with the pertinent parts first.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Screw it, I’ll do the wishlist as well:
- front cabrio cylinder for the ‘unlocking’ of the top
- bottom seat cushion (black), drivers side
- 18” AMG wheels from ‘05-09 CLK
- ‘03 CL55 for trade (kidding) (but let me know)

I think that’s all I need.

Happy hunting y’all!

Hey,

I have a 2003 CLK55 that I just decided recently to part out. The car is a few hours away from me, but Im making a trip there tomorrow. I'll see what I can grab. I'll need the steering wheel for now, but Ill see if I can grab some of the other parts you mentioned.

Also, where are you located? I cant remember if the wheels I have are 17" or 18" AMGs, but I can get some picks of the stockers I have. The downside is shipping. Let me know where you are located, and maybe youll be close enuf for picking up?

Hi 91, I’m located in Texas - Austin.

Let me know if you can grab the multi-function - it’s behind the steering wheel and since you said you need that, no problem if you can’t get to it.

The blower motor should be relatively easy to find and pull if you’ve done it before - I have a couple other parts that I’m looking for as well - namely the center console door.

I’ll look out for your PM/Reply tomorrow! Thanks for replying! The rims, if stock, are 17’s on the ‘03 model

Best,

Blake

Hey,

So the car is currently stored outside, and its been raining for the last two days. So I have not been able to grab anything from the car. I'll try to get out there soon when it stops raining, and Ill give you an update as I have them. Otherwise, in the meantime, if you find the parts you need, obviously jump on them.

Ive never swapped the blower, but when I install stereo systems, I have to take the dash apart, and the blower never looked too bad. Im sure Ill eat those words later :P

Im not sure how to grab the multi-function. Do you have any DYIs by chance? If not, I can just start to disassemble and see where I get.

Also, I have a 2008 CLK550 with the AMG package. It came with the AMG wheels from the factory. But I also cant remember if those are 17s or 18s. Those I have at a nearby storage unit and can find out sooner for you. However, Ive never shipped wheels, so Im not sure how much it would cost from WI.

I'm in IL and I'm also looking for some parts for 04 W209 5.0L. I need:

- left front impact absorber
- radiator shroud buffle (like a rubber surrounding)
- front bumper cover
- grille
- hood (preferably in black color)
- front left fender (black, in the best case scenario)
- right fog light "amg mesh". Or left... I need to check on that
- right hood strut. Mine is leaking.
- probably some misc front metal parts (around the left impact absorber)..

Hi 91,

Hey, sorry I havent hopped on the board in a while. Like I mentioned, the car is a few hours away from me, so its more just a matter of getting a day to go out and work on it. My last work day I was going to grab it for you, and then ran into a few bolts I didnt have the tools for with me. Im hoping to run out there again in the next week, with the correct tools, and finish grabbing the blower for you.

Also, I checked, and I do have a set of the AMG wheels in the 18" size. However, they have my snow tires on them atm :P Are you looking for these soon? Otherwise, I probably only have one season of winter left on the tires. So by early 2019 they will probably be available. If you are still interested in them by that time, let me know.

Hey, I should have some of those parts for you. Some of the parts will be in Madison, but I have a few that are in my storage unit in Milwaukee as well.

I think I can help you with:
-Left front impact absorber (madison)
-radiator shroud baffle (i think milwaukee)
-front bumper cover, AMG (Milwaukee)
-hood, black (Madison, but I have one in Milwaukee too)
-front left fender, black (Madison)
-AMG Mesh for fogs (Milwaukee)

I dont always have access to a truck, so some of the big parts in Madison would be hard for me to get down to you. Any chance youd have a free day where you can drive up to Madison and we can take off parts you need?

PM me if its easier.

Can you let me know the pricing for those parts (absorber isn't required, already bought one)? Here or PM - doesn't matter. I'm now debating to myself if to purchase the parts separately or to get a whole donor vehicle and strip all necessary parts..

Do you still need the blower? This weekend I moved the car up to near Milwaukee about 5 minutes from my house, so I'll be able to work on it finally. I should be tearing into it this Thursday, and should have the blower ready to ship out shortly after.

I'd really prefer to keep the whole amg aluminum panels together as a kit. Im going to try to sell it complete for somebody with wood that wants to completely switch over. If it sits for a long time tho, id consider selling it piece by piece.
