Mirror lens replacement - Can't reach the screw??
Hi fellow Benz lovers!
Have been searching this forum and been looking at several youtube vids of the procedure and everyone else seem to just remove the screw to release the actual lense. In my case though, I can't see or get to the screw because my plastic case is covering the whole part where the screw is.
Below is one picture of what everyone else's mirrors seem to look like, with a screw highly visible, and then there's mine below, with no screw visible. Could possibly be that I have some sort of aftermarket mirror or that MB have changed the design over the years (mine is a 2002 CLK 500).
- Does anyone have any clue of how I remove the lens?
Any input is highly appreciated!
Thanks
Andreas

Thanks guys,
I had already assembled it again when it struck me that it might be aftermarket parts, so not sure about any MB numbers or logos in there. I will disassemble again and try further to loosen any clips.
