3 month old battery, and my car is dead
Greetings
I put a new battery (AutoCraft Platinum AGM) in the car 8/2018. Ive not had any problems since yesterday afternoon.
I last drove it on 11/11, and reset the clock to standard time. It started strong and ran fine.
Went out to the garage to drive it yesterday, put the fob in the ingnigtion , and it would not turn. I pulled the fob out, then back in, and still would not turn.
the only thing working, is the clock.
The car is kept in a garage, and the 18yrs since I bought the place, Ive never seen anything that could get into the wiring.
My car has 24k on it.
anyone had this problem?
Many thanks
david

did some research..
it sounds like EIS has failed.
Im alittle disappointed that with low miles this has failed..
.How much would a new EIS cost, and can my local Indy do the job? Or is this a dealer only job?

I think the EIS is around $400 + labor. Technically, an indy can do this, but the dealership may not sell the parts as they are considered part of the anti-theft system.
