Suddenly rev to 3000+ Rpm in Neutral Gear 06CLK500

I was waiting for someone in the car today, and when I was putting the gear to Neutral, the car suddenly revs on its own and the RPM goes up, to 3000.
I was so confused, so I turn off the car and turn it back on again, then put the gear in Neutral, the same thing happened, the car revs to 3000 again and was shaking.
Don't know what's going on, please help.

Any codes stored? MIL on? Maybe it's a throttle calibration issue. You might try this:

1. Make sure everything in the car is turned off and closed.
2. Turn the key to position 2 so all the dash lights are illuminated.
3. Press the accelerator fully to the floor, depressing the "kick-down" button.
4. Hold he pedal for 5 seconds and continue to hold it down.
5. Turn the ignition switch back one click to position 1.
6. Release the accelerator pedal, but leave the key in position 1.
7. Sit quietly and wait for about two minutes - do NOT open or turn anything on.
8. Listen for a "click" or "ping" noise form the dash.
9. Start the engine and drive the car for at least five minutes.

Wait so let me make this clear because I'm not exactly sure on this,

First, you turn the car to Ignition with nothing else turned on,

Second, you rev the engine for 5+ seconds, floor it, and then let go the pedal,

Third, after revving the car, you turn the key to the position where we take off the key at, which is the first position,

Fourth, wait for about two minutes and do nothing,

Last, wait till you hear the click noise from the dash, then drive the car for 5+ minutes.

Is that right? If not please correct me,

Also, some questions,
Do you need to press something while flooring the pedal?
Are you going to go over the red line for that 5+ seconds?
Is the battery going to die at ignition?
How fast do you need to drive the car for those 5+ minutes?
Do you turn back the key from ignition to position 1 during 5 seconds? Or after you finish revving for 5+ seconds?

Thank you so much Rudeney, you're the lifesaver!

The engine is not running when you do the recommended reset. Position 2 does not start the engine.

I tried it and fixed the issue,
Now the car doesn’t rev when Input it in Neutral and Park
thanks a lot!
Hope this won’t happen again lol
Again, thank you!

If it happens again, I'd replace the accelerator pedal assembly.
