New Tires needed. Looking for opinions.

2009 CLK350. 40,000 miles. Wife and I are doing a summer road trip and will need 4 new tires. I have on there currently Michelin Pilot sport all seasons. Looking for something that helps provide a softer and more quiet ride. Driving from upstate NY to our home in FL. Making many stops along the way and also, a trip down to Key West. A well over 4,000 mile drive in total. Any ideas or reviews of what people are running on their W209's?

This new set of Nankang NS25's have been quiet so far for me (and with the top down), especially considering they are Ultra High Performance spec.

Enjoy your trip, sounds like a great time! :)

Consider the Contiental ExtremeContact DWS. It has a softer ride and pretty quiet too.

I have a set of the Conti DWS's on my car at the moment. Bought that way, and have put ~3000 miles on them so far. Happy.

I put perilli PZero all season on my 05 CLK 320. I like them really well .quiet and smooth on the road.

Last month I got a set of MCH PILOT SPORT A/S 3+ ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE (Front: 225/45ZR17, rear: 245/40ZR17), and really enjoy how smooth and quiet they are - much better than the BST I replaced. I got them at Costco.

So many choices! Might just have to start reading reviews.

I LOVED my Contiental Extreme Contact DWS's!!!! Great tire!! If I needed a great all season, it would be one of my first choices.

Currently I run winter tires, so I run something a bit more extreme on the road. Ive got a set of Nankang NS-2Rs that Im running now. There is some road noise, but they werent designed to be quiet :P

+1 for the Michelins. I have a set on one of my other cars and they have been quiet, long wearing, and great traction

I have the contis right now and they are quiet but they don't have the traction of the ps 04 bridgestones I've run in the past.
