Placement of GPS antenna: 2003 CLK
I am fitting an aftermarket Android head unit to my car.
Is there an easy solution to placement of the GPS antenna?
It needs to go somewhere that does not have metal between it and the sky. Glass / dash panels perfectly fine.
Solved: There is a small compartment directly above the head unit and below the vents, under the centre console trim. That is filled with a sponge packing foam strip. Simply squeeze the foam to one side and install. Easy and signal coverage is good.
