Hello guys, i am trying to open the soft top but nothing happens. When i press down the button in order to open, i get the message top in operation. However nothing happens, no windows go down no sound. Although when i press up the button i can hear the pump for a few seconds. The fuse is ok and i swapped the relays with 2 that i had in a spare pump but i still get the same symptoms. Am i so unlucky that the spare relays are bad too or something else is wrong?

I have already checked it and it doesn't help because i have the problem after the first 3 switches are activated. The windows are supposed to go down but they don't. There is so switch for the windows so i i can't find the problem

I had a similar problem a few years ago... I ended up taking it the MB dealer, where it was diagnosed. They figured out two relays had failed (or maybe one failed but they changed both). I would try that.

I do remember that not only the roof was not working, but also the trunk. Both problems were solved w/new relays but the trunk had to be “re-activated”.

I have already swapped the relays and then i put on the relays from a spare pump i got. Maybe the spare relays are bad too but i don't i think i am so unlucky

I checked my records... if it helps you, the P/N of the 2 relays is 002 542 74 19 (total invoiced for the 2 relays: $35.10)

I bought the two relays but nothing new happens. The windows are not going down. I realized that when i i turn on the engine, a red light in the roof button lights, it also lights when i try to open the top.
