05 clk 500 mods
Well i recieved my 05 clk500 yesterday morning after the LONGEST WAIT EVER! I was checking out the car and noticed a few things that i would like to add or change, if anyone here has done these or could help me out on trying how to figure them out i would appreciate it.
I would like to install an ipod in it but i would not like to lose sound quality by using the Itrip.
I also would like to change the corner lights to clear corners and was wondering where i could get them from and how to change them.
I also wanted to know what other people might have done to there new 05's. Any input would be very appreciated

if u have command there should be an aux impute in your glove box so u can connect your ipod to that. The clear corner lenses can be baught from ebay but if u want to do away with the lights completely then u can get them from lorinser or harris or pretty much anyone. good luck adn congrats on the purchase.

I looked in the glovebox and there was no aux input that i could see. If there is that would be great. I have the DVD Navigation but i don't think that is the Command option?? Sorry but i just started reading this forum and am kinda new.

The DVD nagivation is called the "commmand". I am not sure where its located in the 05's but my 03 has the AUX input in the glove box. YOu might want to look at your owners manual to find where its located because u can just plug in your Ipod to the AUX input.

With Regard to "Clear Corner" lenses, I checked EBay and not one was posted for CLK (W209's) out of 755 postings.
I am not sure whether these are manufactured. I wish they were. I would change them in a second.

Could you please be a little more specific on how to do that with the aux.

dbessa, if you have the commmand system (navigation) in your car, that is factory installed, then you should have an auxilary (AUX) input in your glove box. The AUX input is to the right of the CD changer. Its a little hole. ALL you need is to buy a cable that will connect to your output of your ipod and to the input of the AUX. Once that is done all you have to do is press the SVC button on your command and then choose the AUX button. YOur all set with your Ipod. GOod luck!
