CLK 280 Replaced Light Sensor and Wiper Stalk
Hello
I’m a retired engineer and have owned my CLK 500 for 16 years, which has been a pleasure. I’ve slowly read through much of this forum over the years, very entertaining and very helpful.
Can I share my rain sensor journey I’m now on with my son’s CLK 280.
Fault - windscreen wiper stalk failed.
I replaced and cleared all faults that threw up to then have failed rain/light sensor.
Bought sensor, part number like for like, reset relays and sequence.
I see the voltage is a bit low so will now fully charge the battery and revisit.
Any suggestions welcome. Wiper works only on ‘on’, lights work only on ‘on’
Sensor replaced - no other faults thrown up, no automatic wet/dark function working.
The car is a 2006 CLK 280 W209.
Hope you’re enjoying a lovely sunny Sunday.
John
