Opinion on wheels???

What do you guys think about these wheels on my Silver CLK55? They would be in a 8.5 x 19" front and 9.5 x 19" rear (same size shown in both photos). I'm not that good at photo shop or I'd try it, anyone want to try to photo "chop" it for me?

cntlaw 02-22-2006 04:45 AM

Should look great. :y

They quoted me $1600 + tax. That's for the wheels, tires (han****) 235 & 265 and includes mount and balance.
I'm not too sure about the "Han****" tires but, at that price I'll just have them throw them on and try them out. If I don't like them I'll just retro some PS2's on it.

Here is the link to the wheel manufacturer: http://www.speedywheels.com.au/Showroom.htm

Here is a quick attempt at "photo-chop" from one of my buddies on the R1 forum (www.r1-formu.com) :

You can do better. They are nice wheels but they don't suit a Mercedes well.

Here's a better photo-chop job. The actual wheels should look a bit better. Cause these came out the same size as my 17". Once I get the 19's I'm hopeing that it will fill in the space between the wheel and the fenders. Still think I'm going to have to lower it though?

I have to agree, but if you got the Gunmetal option they might be alright. Just my 02 cents. Good luck in your search, I am in the same quest for wheels. :y

Looks ok. Kind of plain though. 2 cnts.

They look OK on a JPN car, but I don't think they will make it on a MB.

SSR GT3's are super popular with the BMW crowd.

on ebay. WARNING: SSR GT3's are bette rknown as Super Soft Rims in the tuning world and bend easily. I ordered a set of replica's with black centers and chrome lips. I also have a silver clk so I'll post pics when I get the wheels in.

mtimmy 03-03-2006 03:40 AM

careful when a 90 civic dx wears the same wheels with you

RDD 03-05-2006 08:37 PM

www.tirerack.com

wfoclk55 03-06-2006 11:53 PM

I call today and was told that SSR has filed "B.K.". Someone may be buying them and producing the wheels in the future but, right now they only have ones that fit Porsches.

Back the the drawing... :duh:
