COOLING SYSTEM 101
I have started a cooling system upgrade. i have a E55k motor & trans that will be transplanted very soon into my chassis. i have removed the radiator and sent it to a top notch aluminum radiator fabricator who is gonna duplicate it but increase the capacity and efficiency to cool up to 600hp. the trans cooler has been eliminated and a B&M cooler plumbed in by removing the hoses from the cooler pipes and welding a AN6 fitting so i can use earls hose from the pipe ends to front of condensor and cooler location. i am photographing everything and will post some pictures of the process. during this conversion the whole bumper and front structure has been removed for access and detailed. combined with all fasteners replaced with either alloy for trim and titanium for load bearing stuff, the engine compartment looks phenomenal. i have massive amounts of fasteners plus blue silicone hoseing leftover from kart and superbike racing, so i can use all my anodized stuff along with alloy torques head type stuff from BMW racing program

Back in my racing days we use to run the sep auto trans cooler plate type to sep the motor cooling system from the trans coolling system. if one over heats you don't nuke the other.
Sounds interesting

good luck
we did it last year here in Lebanon,we had difficulties starting the car,we used the E55k's ECU,it took us 2 months to start the engine,very complicated...the hole ABS system is different,the new transmission will not shift also,you have to change the differential ratio to 2:65 or rework(remap) your TCU.your original final drive will not handle the extra torque;
the E55K with tune have 900NM (660lb-ft) compared to your car's 460NM (339lb-ft)...so you have to change it,it's double torque....
so i advise you to buy the hole set (engine+transm+final drive+ECU+TCU) to minimize the time of work (time is money)...
don't forget the fuel pump,the injectors are bigger...............
i will stop here,if you need any help,you can mail me: ziadyammine72@hotmail.com
you are welcome
