This sounds like my new address, New owner of a 2002 CLK55 AMG Cab, 58k+ miles. Anyway to find out from the factory who made our engines via a vin decode? Maybe get the sig plate that way? Just thought.

We've tried asking to trace by VIN...no luck so far.

ctravis595 is trolling lookin for a verbal assault to anyone that does not agree with his statement that when he dropped a AMG motor into a Cl500 shell he now has a CL55 AMG, he states it is just that simple because as stated by him he actually built his AMG and us pansies just could buy are AMG's. Good luck with this guy, Enjoy your AMG's, the ones from the factory fellow pansies. He wore his welcome out on various other threads and now seems to be trying to stir dirt in yours. Watch and see!!

Well that's rude to tell everyone with factory amg's that they're pansies. And you say I'm the one looking for verbal assualt? Get a grip dude lol
Please remind me of anywhere in this thread I said anything that was even close to being out of line...oh wait that's right I didn't...
All I said is my amg engine is one of the 99- 02 models that didn't get the hand signed plaque, get a life and stop following people around on the Internet who make you look bad
edit:actually you can count me in for the orphans club, if you wish I'll get some pictures of the engine stamping to verify its the hand built AMG

do all w208's clk55 amg not have the name plate?? If so count me in, if not let me know where it should be, and i will let you know whether or not to count me in. I believe I have one of the rarest clk55's with it being the medium blue which is just beautiful as well as the matching 2 tone interior dark blue on light blue
