CLK55 bodyroll

so far i am very happy with my car, but if i were to pick on one thing to complain, it will be the handling, i think it is too comfortable. anybody has any suggestion of how to eliminate the bodyrolling problem as we corner hard? do other 55 owners have the same feeling?

I think his AMG shocks + springs should be better than the Koni shocks + H&R springs, isnt it?

Brabus does offer sway bar kit for the W209.

I guess if you want real serious handling improvement, you should consider Carlsson RS-sport suspension or the PSS-9.

No, H&R springs with Koni Adj shocks KILLS the stock US Spec AMG suspension. Mercedes are luxury automobiles, and thus most do not come with incredible handling packages from the factory, as that in most cases leads to a sacrific in ride comfort. Setting the Koni's to their 2nd setting with H&R springs would have a stiffer feel, but the handilng would be increased far more than the comfort decreased.

Kleemann and Carlsson both have good setups for the car. For the most part, when it comes to changing a Mercedes suspension, almost any choice is an upgrade. It's just a question of which choice is the correct one for your needs.

Thanks,
Ben

i've driven on my friend's clk430 with koni shocks and h & r springs and i think my amg suspension is much better than his car. there is another gentleman in the c32 forum who says the koni shocks on his c32 is not as good as the amg shocks.

mach430: have you driven a new clk55 with koni shocks + h & r springs?

i think what i need might not be a suspension upgrade but a set of thicker sway bars.

..............I have a combination of Kleeman speed sensitive suspension and Renntech front and rear sway bars. I know some of this is subjective, but I have no body roll. I highly recommend this combination.
