I think its a girl's car. It does look mean, but for some reason the convertible jst screams female.

I love those verts, depends how you dress it. White with limo tint, black rims and black top would look aggressive. Same goes for mars red, and silver color. Only colors I would not buy are black or green because you could not contrast it as well.

Id go with the C63 over the CLK63.. Unless you can spring for the black series CLK.

I would rock one of them. Although I made the decision I liked the coupe better & found the last year. Lowered, HREs, exhaust and short hair, I would do it.

WTF, really? How funny is this my brother just found an article in some men's magazine that did a poll, and found that CLK55s were among the top five chick magnet cars. As in cars guys drive that get them girls. At the time I just laughed, though somehow now it seems oddly appropriate to mention. That said I love my ride and at the end of the day, who gives a f*ck what you think. Peace.

I wanted to say that in my previous post, my CLK used to attract women's attention starting many conversations and relations - plus they always want to go for rides. My C63 on the other hand seems to attract more attention from car guys, and most girls aren't impressed with the car as the were the CLK

Driving a red CLK vert now and shopping for a CLK 63 vert. Say what you want about it!!! The front of the car is very masculine...but the only view most will have are tail lights.

I find the looks of my current CLK distinctly feminine. I guess if I bought it to compensate for something, that would matter to me. It often draws comments from women, perhaps because it is so feminine and non threatening. I've never owned anything that draws such amourous attention from the opposite sex. The convertable tan doesn't hurt my chances either.

The cabriolet is way too much fun. You couldn't sell me a coupe. To me there is a bigger picture to be enjoyed than better handling and reduced weight. It isn't easy to put to words, but if you are considering both, take a cabriolet out on a nice a day and see for yourself. Or better still, drop the top on a warm night. Cabs have power and grace.

I found my CLK on craigslist with no photo. drove 50 miles gesturing a red on red package for the price.(grumbling pink on white)
I found fresh Aluminum W black SOOOOLD
I get smiles every day from women that never looked at me before in my Blacked out wagon. my wife calls it a hearse.
The Wagon is a merit to engineers who were allowed to do what the want. (Special 124).
The 208 was a group of engineers who did what they want anyway!!!!

Had a 2009 C63, then 2010 E63, and now 2008 CLK63. The CLK63 is by far the most unique, fun to drive, and attention grabbing of them all. As stated by others, it is the ultimate for nice long drive to the beach, to work, to grab a carton of milk...day or night. It is sexy and practical...large backseat and trunk. To those who call convertibles "girly", the mere suggestion is moronic. Would you prefer NASCAR to F1? Are the M-B Silver Arrow, Auto Union, or Testa Rossa race cars "girly"...how about the Shelby Cobra?

The CLK63 Convertible is one of the rarest Mercedes ever made in the last 40-50 years and will one day be a very sought after model. Only 143 were imported in 2007, and 100 in 2008. Since several have been totaled, the actual numbers in the US are even lower.

The CLK63 is lower, wider, firmer, better handling, louder, faster than the run of the mill CLK Convertible. Don't trash it til you drive it. Lastly, I find the CLK63 more responsive than my C63...but then again, it could be the extra 24 bhp;-)

My wife just loves her CLK63 AMG Cab and yes hers is one of 143 built.
Runs great, also Beach Doc it looks like it is a twin sister to yours.

I you have to ask, it doesn't look good. I know girls and guys who think it's very gay for a guy to drive a convert, I know some that don't think that. Your opinion is the only one that matters as you'll be the one paying for it. I would never own one for these few reasons....unless you could get a hard top for it.

The weather changes from one extreme to the next where I live. We get snow in the winter and yesterday it was 100 degrees with ridiculous amounts of humidity, both of which are not conditions you would want to have a convertible. I drive my car HARD, its an AMG! Handling and weight are very important to me. IDK if I'd take my CLK55 AMG to the beach, I'd probably use a different car for that. If I was going to get a convertible I'd get an sl, or a muscle car, something that doesn't look iffy as a convertible. All muscle cars handle very badly so it doesn't matter.

Darren0203 it seems the girls and guys you know do too much thinking and should maybe get jobs so they can afford a nearly 100 thousand dollar limited production automobile such as the CLK63 CAB. You yourself are driving a 10 year old car with probably dark tints so no one knows just what preference you might have. There is nothing more gay than thinking someone else is gay for driving a cabriolet. In Canada we can use the convertible to drive in the snow top down, it's just like snowmobiling with all the luxury and power of a sled with side by side seating and room for friends in the back? Yesterday, yes we had the same weather and guess what, night driving was a blast, There is nothing gay about a 485HP convertible. Mod on! The CLK63 CAB, ours is one of 143 built and a great car, Darren try to find one!, one test drive will change your attitude, wear a full face race helmet if you are afraid of being called" well You Know"

You assume quite a lot about me and the people I know, though I'm not sure how you could afford such a car with really poor reading comprehension. IDK maybe it's a translation thing that makes you look like an idiot. I myself never said they were gay...nor do I care, but this already wouldn't be a thing if it weren't somewhat questionable. My car is ten years old but it has very low miles and looks brand new, I shopped around and got exactly what I wanted and didn't have to spend as much as you. IMO anybody who buys a brand new car that has a two year depreciation value of 50% is just wasting money, and if you were driving around last night enjoying it you did not have near the heat and humidity we got. That being said, the only way I would wear a full face helmet in a convert is if you were in the car with me...enjoy your snow plow.

A clk63 vert is a fine ride........ and very capable sleeper.
If you have a complex about if something will make you appear a certain way...... perhaps there are deeper issues about which side of fence you play on

Darren, having lived on the other side of the lake from PA we get the same weather as you, or did you think the snow starts at the border.
I take it the heat soak gets in the way of summer driving, NA is the only way to go.
IMO, I like the "I did not have to spend as much as you", is yours a salvage?
Hopefully you got it at a good price.
