Coilovers issues w208 a208 c208 what is the diffence
Hi guys
Looking at getting some coilovers for my 2001 clk55 AMG,
Now there's a few options of the clk I.e different model codes now I know c208 is the convertible but what is the difference between the a208 and w208 suspension?
Cheers

Seriously !! Looking at some coilovers and there a 700 quid difference in price between the a and the w .
Is it just a case of them trying to get extra cause of the AMG side of it ?

MBWorld Fanatic!
apparently I was misinformed the C and W should be the same. W208=Coupe, A208=Cabriolet
Basically the way i understand it is that the W208 is the model and the A is for cab and C is for coupe.

I had a look at a coilover site in the UK - LKPerformance.co.uk and they list model options as CLK (C and A 208) and then another option for CLK W208 with quite different pricing. Looking at their gear though the suspension quality is quite different, hence the price. So I think it's just different suppliers referring to it as either a W208 or a 208 A or C. Same same..
