About to install new double din headunit in my W208 55!
Hi all.
I decided to take the plunge to put in a new headunit in my 208 CLK55 cab. All of the parts are on their way to me. I went with a Kenwood Excelon carplay unit. I'll also be adding a backup camera. For those that have done this, can you tell me about running the cable from the trunk lid (license plate area) into the trunk itself? There's the grommet with the loom that the other wires are in, but it doesn't look so easy to use that. Any input on that?
Thanks,
Michael

You will need to pull the trunk lid carpet and the trunk liner down the passenger side. then pull the back seat on the same side. You will see a perfect hole to run the wire. After that just run it down the kick plates to the unit itself.

Thanks... However, can you go a bit further? So on the convertible, the trunk lid is sooooo separated from the trunk, I'm not clear where there'd be a hole since they aren't really connected other than by the hinges...
