CLK55 AMG Kompressor

It's been a while that i have done it , but was little busy and away from here. Engine is coming from G55 Kompressor , huge and BIG power difference between before and now, car is running perfect , engine has very very low mileage .

Fantastic! There must be several people running this now. I definitely plan to do the swap when the time is right.

Did you use the stock CLK headers?

Yea i think so,it's little bit expensive but worth each bucks when you put your hands on the right engine.... Yes sure, stock CLK Headers MUST be used, even later when i want to put mid or long tube headers, i will have the get the ones of W209.

Thank you, I asked as I am considering having long tubes made sometime and just wanted to make sure they would work with the supercharged engine which I thought they must considering it is the same basic block.

Anytime ! Don't waste your time on headers now , if you can start from now to start the swap then don't delay more . Keep the headers for later, now let the show start with you by loading the new engine then more suspense with headers , pulleys , etc

Nothing is difficult, just buy an 55k engine and tranny with harness, ecu ,tcu and cooling...
Then installing the ecu in the sam is easy, same bosch me 2.8.

Looks like a lot of fun Chico,
Hopefully the G55 is similar oil pan wise to the CLK/E otherwise retrofitting will turn into headaches.
The K has special oil pump n baffles which might not work if the pans are different.
Keep us posted on the retrofit details. It takes a lot of guess work out of crafting Benz.
Agree using OEM manifolds until one is ready to tune for headers.

Cheers, Gator

Anything other than OEM or changing from factory is lot of fun, the show almost starts.... Everything looks oem , everything was replaced came back as OEM. The work as general was normal , only small work for VIN swap , modifying SCN for CLK and making the ESP works on it without SBC.
All working well , not a single wire is missing, as engine tranny all was plug and play, only little work for coding as said first .

Who did your coding? No errors? Good luck getting headers to fit in a W208 chassis. Unless you have a w209

A local friend here did it just as it is OEM from origin ! No errors, all working great ! Its w209 as @sick430 said , there is a picture under my signature for my engine which is showing that its w209 chassis, the picture is not showing?

Oh cool. I can't see signatures on my phone. I've had a M113k motor for a while now with Weistec blower and other mods in my W208. It's an animal

Like many Mercedes projects, one can get all HW to fit but the most difficult part is getting the SW to work. If someone in the United States wanted to perform this swap, what tuner/shop can perform all the SW changes (including VIN change, no ESP errors, tuning, SCN coding, etc.)?

I did this same CLK55 compressor conversion about six years ago but I still have the ESP compatibility error which means that dyno mode will not switch on manually but when the dyno tuning equipment is connected to the engine it is automatically on.
The car was dyno tuned producing 360 RWKW which is impossible to use fully on the street because of the traction control interference.

Does any one know how to fix the ESP-SBC engine ecu compatibility issue?

But I can't find where the small vacume hose that comes off of the brake booster connector goes ? Can amine help me ? I think it went into a harness between the cowl under the wipers ? But I don't see where it goes in the car or where it connects to ?
