2006 Mercedes CLK500 W209 chassis
Multi Contour Seat
2006 CLK 500 Coupe with driver MCS. None of the switches work. There is no sound indicating a pump or motor is running. No air leaks are detectable.
All fuses including those related to MCS are OK. Where is the device that provides air to the bladders located? Power locks work fine. What is the purpose of the module under the front of the driver's seat where wiring and air lines are connected to?

The Module under the seat is a memory module that connects to a door control module under the door panel.
This is for memory and seat movement when you tilt the back of the seat forward.
The pneumatic/vacuum pump in the trunk supplies air to the seat bladders.
The electronics can be reset with star C4 connect and normally results in motor recovery and restoring seat control.
The pump needs some common diagnostic checks, If the door locks work good then the pump is trying. Other checks are for leaks.
I am speaking from W208 but we are very similar in terms of goodies built into the car.
