CLK 63 AMG Cabriolet
Good day all AMG lovers,
I have sadly, sold my C55 AMG and am now looking for a CLK 63 AMG Cabriolet.
I have found one - 2007 CLK 63 AMG Cabriolet with 127000 km done. thing is, the car has a bad vibration / shudder when idling and when you rev the car. the shudder is even worse when driving. it is felt throughout the entire car. everything else in the car is perfect and the engine is as powerful as F*#k.
I am thinking this is the engine and gearbox mounts that needs replacement. can you please advise if any of you have experienced this before and confirm it was the engine and gearbox mounts?
The car is selling at a steal and the only thing putting me off is this issue of the vibration.
Look forward to all of you AMG lovers feedback,
Thanking you in advance

You are 100% correct about the source if the vibration. Had one for three years and right when I was about to sell mine, it did the same thing. Easily fixed but was about $1,000 to repair. Other than that, it was a fabulous car, and VERY rare. I think eventually they will become quite collectible solely because of the low number brought into the U.S. 143 in 2007, and 100 in 2008. I had a 2008 CLK63 Cab.
Am going ahead with this purchase..
Will post some pictures soon enough..

Good day all,
just a quick question,
what is the normal oil temperature you all got on the CLK 63 AMG?
I was driving yesterday and it was around 102 - 108 and went up to 115 when I was being a little enthusiastic,
Your feedback is much appreciated,
Thanks

Good day all you AMG lovers!!
I trust you are all well!
I need some assistance and advice:
with regards to my CLK 63 AMG Cabriolet: - the left headlight has stopped auto levelling. only the right side does the auto levelling so the left headlight is facing the ground constantly.
Did anyone experience this and if so, what was the solution to resolving this issue?
Hoping for prompt feedback
Thanking you

CLK 63 AMG headlight auto levelling
Good day All
I trust you are all well,
The left headlight on my clk 63 has stopped auto levelling, which is weird as the right headlight is working perfectly,
Has anyone experienced this before and found the solution as to why this happened?
Hoping for positive feedback soonest before I book the car in at a dealership,
Regards

Yes same thing happened to my e55. It was the sensor for the auto leveling motor which is only available with the headlight assembly. How is your clk63 holding up? I just picked up an 08 clk63

Hi AmgSeahawker,,
Thank you for the feedback,
So the parts can be purchased separately? well, the sensor that is - how much did that set you back?
My CLK is holding up very well - it is also a 2008, only doing 103000km now. car is incredible, this is the first issue I have.. everything else is perfect!
Its amazing how they managed to screw out 354kw from a NA V8 engine... car is great!! I guarantee that you will enjoy this car!!

Have you had it fixed? I had to replace the entire headlight assembly. If your getting fixed at dealer I would say around $800

Good morning all,
Apologies for the late response,
the problem was the purple vacuum hose - it had come loose..
All sorted out now.
Car is going in for front rotors this week. sending it to brake specialists. putting in OEM rotors and EBC yellow stuff brake pads..
How's all your AMG's doing?

CD Shuttle jammed and wont eject
Good day all
I trust you're well!
I have the following issue on my CLK 63 AMG Cabriolet.
The CD shuttle is jammed.. when I press the eject button, it makes the noise but the part that supposed to eject is jammed.
Has anyone had this issue before? If so, how and what was done to resolve this issue? The CD Shuttle does not even show on the in dash command system any more.
Any feedback is appreciated

this may sound crazy but my CD shuttle got jamed and i just gave it a really hard wack, the problem is that its old now and the mechanism is jammed , in all seriousness i got the handle of a hammer and gave it a tap straight down and it unjammed it.
good luck.

Thank you for the feedback,
Will give it a whack later today and hope for the best!
I still have the shuttle from my C55 AMG(I upgraded the sound system and kept the old system) will that shuttle work with my CLK 63?

CLK 63 AMG Front rotors
Good day all,
I trust you are all doing well!
Again, I am going to upgrade the brakes on my car - going to fit racing Rotors and pads on the car.. thing is, these cars have the 2 piece floating brake system.
Will the old bells work with the new rotors? The rotors are built for the car.. does anyone have the dimensions of the bell for the floating system?
All your feedback is greatly appreciated.
N.B. The Picture below is the rotors I am fitting, carbon ceramic,, but the bell if the below is not going to be used!
