W209 CLK55 - Uncomfortable Seats
I’ve had my 2003 CLK55 for six months now and am still trying to get comfortable in the drivers seat. This is a major contrast to my 2001 CLK430, which I find very comfortable for long distances. I wouldn’t say the CLK55 is terrible, just that it isn’t as comfortable as I would like.
Are there any known issues, for example do springs snap over time? It sometimes feels like part of the sprung section of the seat isn’t quite right, but I am not keen on taking it apart.
Car has 115k miles on it. Inflatable controls all work, if I could pinpoint the issue it would be around the rear of the base.
Thoughts?

I was wondering whether it was a common issue on these seats.
Will do a proper passenger / driver seat comparison this weekend I think.

I think this is the other way around, in that the CLK55 seats should feel stiffer, but some of the spring has been lost in the rear of the base.
I was wondering whether it was a common issue on these seats.

The back cover should be easy to take off. you might be able to see from back there.
I dont think Ive ever heard of this kind of issue on any mercedes

Embarrassingly, I may have the answer - adjustment of the seat...
I tend to get seats as low as they will go at the rear and then lift the front to the point where my thighs are supported. On the CLK55 that puts you in a bit of an V shape. Simply lifting the rear of the seat has made a massive improvement...!
