Open Invite to view Evosport CLK63 Black Series

Between the photo shoots and getting all the products prepared for this week's departure back to its owner, we'd like to invite anyone interested to come down this Wednesday (yes, tomorrow!) between 2-5 PM to view the car. I know it's late notice but we weren't sure if and when this invite would be possible given the time constraints. The car is viewable before 2PM but it will probably be being worked on at that time. Feel free to call ahead with any questions.

Below is the info:

When: Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 - 2-5 PM

Where:
Evosport Inc
15608 Graham Street
Huntington Beach, CA 92649

We replaced the springs, but the lowering was done via the factory coilovers. We also corner balanced her as well.

Sorry, the car is leaving tomorrow so Saturday was not possible. Never seen so many Black Series in one day though. We had a number show up today to check out the project car.

Stopped by today as the curiosity got the best of me.

First, the carbon fiber front and rear spoilers are really quite nice and stand out as the photos' don't due them justice. I've seen the factory aero kit in person and there is no question that these are as good fitment. I would say these are clearly more function than bling.

Second the Dymag wheels are really different and I must say I like them. I think the they give the car a more aggressive purpose and you won't see another set at the drive thru.

The headers and exhaust was the next thing I was interested in, I know from my research that the factory AMG headers and exhaust with ecu is 40 hp. EVO has been able to get 56, admittedly though a lot of ecu tuning. I was impressed as the sound was aggressive but didn't loose the drivability that come form some systems with droning.

Roll bars are difficult to integrate into a luxury sports car, but the leather wrapping reduced the visual impact and matched the interior giving the safety equipment a classy touch.

There are more BIG changes that will surprise everyone.

Wish I could have have been there to hear the modified exhaust in person. The drone factor inside a vehicle at cruise speeds has always been a big issue with me. Did you notice if they left the stock rear mufflers on the car.?

Thanks for sharing your impressions of their evil EVO-work.

Jim

The car still has its stock rear mufflers. Exhaust has more authority to it but not obnoxious loud.
